Let’s learn about…
UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!
This month we will be looking at all things American…Cultures, traditions, sight seeing and what kinds of weather they experience. We will be creating some flags, statues of Liberty, looking at how tall the buildings are, how long their bridges are and lots lots more, so keep an eye out for all their creations throughout the month.
As you know our big hairy goal for 2017 is to improve the QUALITY of our provision to children, ensuring they have the BEST education and care in a safe (and fun) learning environment.
GREAT NEWS…..We have just received the ISO 9001 certification, a world-class quality assurance award. This is the most recognised quality management standard. It ensures that we are continually evaluating and reflecting on our provision and our nursery; the system supports us with maintaining a high standard of service and ensures that we comply with many regulatory requirements.
Well done everyone – this is another example of fantastic team work at Monkey Puzzle Weybridge xx
Calling all our ‘Superhero’ dad’s… We are going to be having a bring and BBQ on Saturday 17th June here at the nursery for you and your children…So please save the date and let us know if you will be attending.
More details to follow soon!
FIRST AID…where we share tips and advice from St Johns Ambulance with parents
This week we are focusing on:
Fever in babies
If your baby has a fever or high temperature it can be very worrying. Fever can be common in babies and most recover without any problems. You may notice they are hot with flushed skin but may become cold to the touch, with pale skin.
If their temperature is above 37ºC your baby has a fever.
A temperature above 38ºC is unusual in a young baby under 3 months, so seek advice quickly.
Kayleigh from Teenies will be moving over to Babies as of W/C 8th May 2017. She will be transitioning from Tuesday next week and will be getting to know her new key children in Babies.
Hannah will be taking over Kayleigh’s key children in Teenies.
BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Janine who has been promoted to OFFICE MANAGER. Janine is doing a sterling job managing the office / reception area, has taken Stephanie under her wing, and she runs a tight ship at the nursery keeping us all on track! Well done Janine and thank you for all your support and hard work!
Well done to Charlie in Pre-School who has created a wonderful family tree picture using his expert sticking and painting skills!
You are our top MESSY MONKEY’S this week. Well done Charlie it is super duper!
On Friday we had our initial assessment from Millie’s Mark and we are now one step closer to achieving our accreditation. Thank you to all our parents that took the time to talk to the assessor on the day. The girls did a great job answering all the First Aid questions that were fired at them, we will keep you updated with our progress!
Have a wonderful long weekend and see you all next week!
