We provide fresh balanced meals to all children at our nursery. A choice of fresh fruit is available at snack times, morning and afternoon. We also cater for all dietary requirements and preferences so if your child has trouble absorbing dairy, lactose, is intolerant to gluten, has an allergy to wheat or eggs…or anything, please just let us know. We are happy to cater for your child’s individual needs.
Our resident chef Amanda is passionate about providing healthy, nutritious meals that give the children the essential fuel to get through their day… and she makes the best cakes in the world!
Fresh water is available to the children at all times and no squash is served.
Breakfast consists of a variety of non-sugared cereals, wholemeal toast, crumpets or pancakes and banana. You can choose a gluten / wheat free alternative if your child is intolerant. We have lactofree / dairy free milk which is also readily available. We’ve even got Coconut Milk and Hemp Milk available some days!
Mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacks consists of various fruit and a choice of either milk or water to drink.
Lunch is always a balanced hot meal followed by second course which is cooked freshly on the premises by a dedicated nursery cook.
Tea is fresh, wholesome and balanced and includes a variety of choices including homemade soups, pasta dishes and sandwiches/wraps.
We run weekly Monkey Mini-Chef Club where the children learn how to cook but are also taught about measuring & counting, how to read recipes, interesting facts on where food comes from and lots of info on different cultures.
